Clear Braces Aligners
Many adult patients, when asked what they would like to change about their smile, say they would like straighter teeth. You may have missed out on orthodontic treatment as a teenager, while tooth alignment and shape can also gradually change over time, resulting in the need for orthodontics later in life.
The problem is that when many people hear the word "orthodontics" they think of traditional metal wire and bracket braces. Whilst these are highly effective, they are also very noticeable, and a lot of adult patients with busy social and professional lives are put off by the thought of wearing obvious metal braces.
That's why at Aesthetic Smiles we are pleased to offer a wide range of discreet orthodontics treatments, including near-invisible braces and aligners, which can correct many orthodontic problems.
The perfect solution for you will depend on your specific orthodontic needs. Among the problems we can treat with discreet orthodontics are:
- Crooked teeth
- Overcrowded teeth
- Protruding teeth
- Irregularly spaced teeth
- Improper bite
At Aesthetic Smiles our dentist assesses each individual's orthodontic needs to ensure they receive the right treatment. The treatments we offer include:
These braces are the same as their metal counterparts, but the brackets and wires are clear or tooth-coloured, meaning they are highly discreet. They work by gradually moving your teeth into a more desirable position. You will need to wear a retainer after treatment.
Lingual braces act in the same way as regular braces, but are attached to the back of your teeth. That means that most people will not notice them unless they are looking directly into your mouth.
Invisalign clear aligners
Invisalign comprises a series of tailor-made clear aligners that fit over your teeth, gradually moving them into a new position. You change your aligner every two weeks as your teeth move, and can take it out for cleaning and to eat and drink.
The Inman aligner is a clear aligner that uses a special system of springs and bows that create gentle forces to quickly move your teeth into a new position. The aligner is removable, so you can take it out for cleaning and to eat and drink.
